Tree removal near a house or fence

A limb over a driveway, a trunk against a fence and a tree leaning over a roof each call for a different conversation when you request an estimate.

Does the whole tree need to come down?

If you need clearance for a vehicle or space above a roof, point out the particular limbs that concern you. That gives us a starting point for discussing pruning. If the trunk leans toward the building or the tree shifted after a storm, describe what changed. The crew needs to see the tree and its surroundings to assess the options.

Where can the crew work?

On one Iron Horse job, a tree grew from a creek bed and leaned over a roof. Uprooted trees had already damaged a neighboring shop. Our video shows the tracked lift set up alongside the building. The photo above shows a different job where the fence and outbuilding left a narrow space around the trunk, but there was open ground for the lift.

A wide photo taken from a safe spot can show us more than a close-up of the bark. Include the route from the driveway if you can, and mention gates, steps or a detached garage that might limit equipment access.

What should the estimate include?

Picture the yard after the crew leaves. Do you want trunk wood left for firewood, branches hauled away or a clear path for the mower? Ask which of those items the estimate covers. If a stump will be in the way, bring up stump grinding during the visit so we can look at access for the grinder too.

Our crew is based in Keithville and handles tree removal in Shreveport, Bossier City and nearby communities. When you call, start with your town and what the tree is close to.
